The "Add Profile" dialog will open. Start filling in the basic details:
Shows the "Add" dialog window with "Basic" section
Important: Notice the "Scroll down" indicator (red arrow pointing down)
Fill in these fields:
1. Name: Enter a descriptive name
Example: "MobileHop - San Diego - Profile 1"
This helps you identify the profile later
You can use any naming convention that works for you
2. Group: (Optional)
You can organize profiles into groups
Examples: "Social Media", "E-commerce", "Affiliate Accounts"
Leave blank if you don't need grouping yet
3. Platform: Select the platform you'll be using
Choose based on your needs
For mobile simulation, you might select Android or iOS
This affects the default settings and user agent
4. Username: (Optional)
Platform login username if needed
This is for your convenience and organization
Not required for the browser to function
5. Password: (Optional)
Platform login password if needed
Again, this is just for your records
BitBrowser stores this securely
6. Duplicate Validation:
Check "Verify by username" if you want to prevent duplicate accounts
This prevents you from accidentally creating multiple profiles for the same account
7. Multi-open settings:
Select "Allowed" (selected by default)
This allows you to open the profile even if another profile is running
Very useful when managing multiple accounts simultaneously
8. 2FA Key: (Optional)
Enter if you have two-factor authentication set up
You can paste your 2FA secret key here
BitBrowser can then generate codes for you
9. Remark: (Optional)
Add any notes about this profile
Examples: "Main Instagram account" or "Test account for ads"
Helps with organization
10. Cookie: (Optional) - You can paste cookies here if migrating from another browser - Useful if you're transferring an existing account - Accepts JSON format
Important: After filling basic information, scroll down to continue with proxy configuration (as indicated in the screenshot).
Step 8: Configure Proxy Settings
After scrolling down in the profile creation dialog, you'll reach the "Proxy" section:
Shows the proxy configuration section with all fields highlighted by red arrows:
Type dropdown (set to "Socks5")
Protocol selection (IPv4 selected)
Host field
Port field
Username field
Password field
Configuration steps:
1. Method: Select "Custom" (should be selected by default)
You'll see three radio button options available:
Custom (select this one)
Extract By API
Proxy Management
2. Lookup Channel: Select "DB-IP" from dropdown
This is for IP geolocation lookup and helps BitBrowser identify where your proxy is located. The DB-IP service is reliable and accurate for most mobile IPs.
3. Type: Select "Socks5" from the dropdown
This matches the MobileHop proxy type we copied earlier. The dropdown shows an "S" icon with "Socks5" label. MobileHop primarily uses SOCKS5 for HTTP/SOCKS5 proxy connections, which provides better performance and reliability.
4. Protocol: Select "IPv4"
You'll see two radio buttons to choose from:
IPv4 (select this)
IPv6
Keep IPv4 selected as MobileHop mobile proxies use IPv4 addresses. IPv6 is less common for mobile proxies and not necessary for most use cases.
5. Host: Enter the MobileHop proxy IP address
Copy the IP address from your MobileHop proxy details page. It will look something like: 199.xxx.xxx.74 (the actual numbers will be different for your proxy). The field shows a helpful placeholder: "Host:Port:Username:Password will auto-split" which means you could paste all four values separated by colons and BitBrowser will automatically distribute them to the correct fields.
6. Port: Enter the port number
From MobileHop, this is typically 9000 for SOCKS5 connections. The field shows "Please enter port" as placeholder text. Make sure you enter just the number without any extra characters.
7. Username: Enter your MobileHop proxy username
Copy this exactly from MobileHop credentials. The character limit is shown as 5/200, meaning you've used 5 characters out of a maximum 200. The field shows "Optional, please enter username" but this is actually required for MobileHop proxies to work.
8. Password: Enter your MobileHop proxy password
Copy this exactly from MobileHop credentials. The character limit is shown as 7/200, meaning you've used 7 characters out of a maximum 200. The field shows "Optional, please enter password" but again, this is required for authentication with MobileHop.
9. Refresh Proxy: (Optional)
This field shows "Refresh Proxy" with a refresh icon. Leave this empty unless you have a specific proxy rotation URL from MobileHop. Most users won't need to use this field as MobileHop handles rotation automatically on their end.
Step 9: Check Proxy Connection
Before saving the profile, it's crucial to test the proxy connection:
How to test:
Click the "Check Proxy" button (located to the right of "Lookup Channel" dropdown)
Wait for the connection test to complete - this may take 5-10 seconds
BitBrowser will attempt to connect through your MobileHop proxy
What to verify in the test results:
The test should show:
A green checkmark or "Connection successful" message
The IP address that's being used (should match MobileHop's mobile IP)
The location should match your selected MobileHop location (e.g., San Diego, CA)
Connection speed or latency information
If connection fails, check these common issues:
Double-check all credentials - even one wrong character will cause failure
Ensure the proxy IP address has no extra spaces before or after
Verify the port number is correct (usually 9000 for SOCKS5)
Confirm the username and password are exactly as shown in MobileHop
Make sure the proxy is currently active in your MobileHop dashboard
Check that you have remaining bandwidth or credits in your MobileHop account
Try switching from SOCKS5 to HTTP if MobileHop offers both options
If you continue to have issues, it's better to stop here and resolve the proxy connection before proceeding. A working proxy connection is essential for the profile to function properly.
Step 10: Save and Confirm Profile
Now it's time to finalize and save your profile.
Before confirming, review all settings one final time:
Scroll through the entire profile creation form and verify:
Profile name is descriptive and will help you identify it later
Group assignment is correct (if you're using groups)
Platform selection matches your intended use
Proxy configuration shows all four values correctly (Host, Port, Username, Password)
You successfully tested the proxy connection
Random Fingerprint was generated
Workbench is set to "Local Server"
Save the profile:
Click the blue "Confirm" button in the bottom right corner of the dialog.
Shows the profile update screen with:
Proxy configuration visible (though fields appear grayed out for security)
All proxy settings properly configured
Large red arrow pointing to "Confirm" button (bottom right)
"Cancel" button next to it for if you need to abort
Note at bottom reminding: "Use the 'Local Server' or 'Disable' to save traffic"
What happens after clicking Confirm:
BitBrowser will process your profile settings and create the new browser environment. This usually takes just a few seconds. The dialog will close and you'll be returned to the Browser Profiles page where your new profile will now appear in the list.
Final Words
Setting up BitBrowser with MobileHop might seem complex at first, but by following this guide step-by-step, you've created a powerful system for managing multiple accounts securely and anonymously.
